    Getting There

    Walking

    From Santa Monica Pier, head east on Colorado Avenue towards Ocean Avenue. Turn left onto Ocean Avenue and continue walking until you reach the intersection with 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street and walk straight until it becomes Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the Expo Line Santa Monica station. Take the Expo Line train towards Union Station. Get off at the 7th Street/Metro Center station, transfer to the Blue Line towards Washington Station, and disembark at the Washington station. From there, it’s a short walk to Olvera Street in Downtown Los Angeles.

    Public Transport

    Start at the Santa Monica Civic Center on 4th Street. Catch the Big Blue Bus Line 7 or 8 towards the Downtown Los Angeles area. Stay on the bus until you reach the Santa Monica terminus at the 4th Street/Colorado Avenue. From there, transfer to the Metro Expo Line by walking to the Expo Line Santa Monica station. Board a train towards Union Station. Get off at the 7th Street/Metro Center station. Transfer to the Metro Red Line towards Union Station and get off at the Civic Center station. Olvera Street is a short walk from there, just head south.
