The vision was to create a plaza with a replica of the iconic clock tower as its centerpiece. After years of planning, fundraising, and dedicated effort, the Cone & Kimball Plaza was officially dedicated on April 30, 2005 – the 21st anniversary of the fire. The new structure, standing approximately 75 feet tall, is a testament to the community's determination to preserve its history and create a gathering place for future generations. The current Cone & Kimball Tower is not an exact replica of the original. It is a reduced-scale reproduction, built with modern materials to ensure its longevity. The tower features a carillon, made possible by a generous donation from the Vesper Masonic Lodge #84, which chimes throughout the day, adding to the plaza's ambiance. The surrounding plaza provides a space for community events, farmers' markets, and other gatherings, making it a vibrant center of activity in downtown Red Bluff.
