Later, George Whiting made further additions in 1932, including a dining room, bedroom, and kitchen. Despite these changes, the adobe retains its historical character and significance. Today, the Serrano Adobe is a centerpiece of Heritage Hill Historical Park, which opened in 1981 as Orange County's first historical park. The park also includes the El Toro Grammar School (1890), St. George's Episcopal Mission (1891), and the Harvey Bennett Ranch House (1908), representing different eras in the region's history.
