Car
To reach Big Bear Solar Observatory by car, start on I-10 E from Los Angeles. Continue on I-10 E for about 30 miles. Take exit 77B to merge onto CA-210 N toward Pasadena. After approximately 15 miles, take exit 64B to merge onto I-15 N toward Barstow. Continue on I-15 N for about 40 miles. Take exit 117 for CA-18 toward Running Springs/Big Bear Lake. Follow CA-18 for about 10 miles until you reach Big Bear Lake. Once in Big Bear, turn onto N Shore Ln, and the observatory will be located at 40386 N Shore Ln.
