To reach San Mateo Campground from the central area of Temecula, start by taking the Riverside Transit Agency bus number 24 from the Temecula Transit Center (located at 41000 Main St, Temecula, CA). Board the bus heading towards the Murrieta area. You will need to transfer at the Murrieta Town Square (approximately 20 minutes). Once there, switch to bus number 202 towards San Clemente. Stay on this bus for about 45 minutes until you reach the San Clemente Transit Center. From the Transit Center, you can either take a rideshare service or a local taxi to San Mateo Campground, which is approximately 3 miles away.
