    Public Transport

    The Central Library is accessible via the Metro Rail. Take the B Line (Red) or D Line (Purple) to Pershing Square Station. Walk approximately 0.3 miles west on 5th Street to reach the library. Alternatively, take the A, E, or B lines to 7th St/Metro Center Station and walk three blocks north on Hope Street. A single ride on Metro costs $1.75.

    Walking

    From the 7th Street/Metro Center Station, walk north on Hope Street for three blocks. The library will be visible at the end of the street. Note that the Hope Street entrance requires climbing stairs. From Pershing Square, walk approximately 0.3 miles west on 5th Street.

    Driving

    The library is located at 630 W 5th St, between Grand Avenue and Flower Street. Parking is available in the 524 S. Flower Street garage beneath the Maguire Gardens. **Parking Costs (with validation, requires a library card):** * $1 for the first hour * $5 for 2 hours * $9 for 3 hours * $4 per 10 minutes thereafter, up to a maximum of $40 * $1 flat rate after 3 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays during library hours. **Market Rates apply if entering/leaving when the library is closed:** * $4 per 10 minutes, $40 maximum daily. Several other parking garages are also located nearby.
