Walking
If you are in Venice Beach, start at the Venice Beach Boardwalk, which is a lively area with shops and street performers. Head east towards the intersection of Rose Ave and Main St. Continue walking along Main St until you reach the intersection with Washington Blvd. Turn right onto Washington Blvd and keep walking until you reach the Venice Fishing Pier. From the pier, you will want to head north along the shoreline until you reach the Santa Monica Bike Path. Follow the bike path north until you get to the Santa Monica Pier, then cross the road to continue heading north along the beach towards Long Beach. Note that this will take quite some time, as it is a long walk, so be prepared for a scenic trek!
Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops along the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Start by heading south on the bike path that runs parallel to the beach. Follow the bike path as it takes you past the beautiful coastline towards Long Beach. You will eventually reach a junction where you will need to veer slightly inland. Continue to follow the bike path signs towards downtown Long Beach. Once you reach Pine Ave, you’ll find that it leads directly towards the Promenade. Make sure to lock your bike at a designated bike rack near the Promenade.
Public Transit
From Venice Beach, make your way to the nearest bus stop on Lincoln Blvd. Take the Metro Bus Line 33 towards Long Beach. After a scenic ride, you will arrive at the Long Beach Transit Mall. From there, transfer to the Passport Bus Line B, which will take you directly to Pine Ave. Get off at the stop near the Promenade. Walk a short distance towards Pine Ave, and you will find the Promenade as your destination.
