From the Venice Beach Boardwalk, head east on Windward Avenue until you reach Pacific Avenue. Turn left on Pacific Avenue and continue until you reach the intersection with Washington Boulevard. At this point, you will want to catch the Metro Bus Line 1. Board the bus heading towards Santa Monica. Stay on the bus for about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. You'll want to get off at the stop for Long Beach Boulevard and 7th Street. From there, transfer to the Metro Blue Line (light rail) at the Long Beach Transit Mall station and head towards Washington Station. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at Signal Hill station. Signal Hill is a short walk from the station, just follow the signs or ask locals for directions.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the many rental shops along the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Head east on Windward Avenue, then take a left on Pacific Avenue. Continue straight until you hit Washington Boulevard. Take a right and bike along Washington Boulevard until you reach Long Beach. Once you arrive in Long Beach, follow the local bike trails towards Signal Hill. This route can take about 1-1.5 hours, depending on your speed.
