    Walking

    If you are in downtown Walnut Creek, start at the Walnut Creek BART station. Exit the station and head east on Mount Diablo Blvd. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with North Main Street. Turn left on North Main Street and walk north for about 0.3 miles. You will pass various shops and eateries along the way. After this stretch, turn right onto Ygnacio Valley Road and continue for approximately 0.7 miles. Look for the signs leading to Acalanes Ridge. The trailhead is located on Sousa Drive, where you will see a small parking area and the entrance to the hiking trails. Follow the trail that leads up the ridge, and enjoy the stunning views.

    From the Walnut Creek BART station, board a bus heading towards Ygnacio Valley Rd. You can take the County Connection Bus 5 or 6.
