    To reach Sausalito from Walnut Creek, you can take the County Connection bus #4 from the Walnut Creek BART station. Board the bus heading towards the Pleasant Hill BART station. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Pleasant Hill BART station. From there, transfer to the BART train towards San Francisco. Ride the train to the Embarcadero station in San Francisco (approximately 30 minutes). Once at Embarcadero, follow the signs to the Ferry Building and catch the Golden Gate Ferry to Sausalito. The ferry ride offers beautiful views and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sausalito, you will be right at the waterfront, ready to explore.

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike from Walnut Creek to Sausalito. Start by heading west on Mt. Diablo Blvd towards downtown Walnut Creek. Follow the bike lanes until you reach the Iron Horse Trail. Take the Iron Horse Trail north towards the Danville/Alamo area. Continue on the trail until you reach the junction with the Contra Costa Canal Trail, which will lead you to San Francisco Bay.
