The Well of Shadows, situated approximately 5 kilometers north of Battambang, serves as a chilling reminder of the Khmer Rouge regime's atrocities. From 1975 to 1979, this site, originally part of the Wat Samrong Knong temple complex, was used as a prison and killing field.
