Battambang Independence Monument: A Symbol of Cambodian Freedom

The Battambang Independence Monument, inaugurated in recent years, is a significant landmark embodying Cambodia's journey to freedom. It honors the courage and sacrifices of Cambodian patriots who fought for independence from French colonial rule, which was achieved in 1953. The monument's design is rooted in Khmer architectural traditions, drawing inspiration from iconic structures like Angkor Wat.
