Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Kampot town. Head southeast on National Road 3 (NR3) for about 15 kilometers. Look for a sign directing you to Phnom Teuk Chou (ភ្នំទឹកតូច) and turn right onto a smaller road. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the site. Ensure to drive carefully as the roads can be narrow and winding.
Public Transportation (Tuk-Tuk)
For those using public transportation, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Kampot town. Negotiate a fare with the driver before starting your journey; it typically costs around $10-$15 for a round trip. The tuk-tuk will take you along National Road 3 (NR3) and drop you off at the entrance of Phnom Teuk Chou, which is about 20 kilometers from the town center. Make sure to agree on a return time with your driver.
Public Transportation (Motorbike Rental)
Another option is to rent a motorbike in Kampot town. Rental prices generally range from $5 to $10 per day. Once you have your bike, head southeast on NR3, following the same route as for the car. After about 15 kilometers, turn right onto the smaller road leading to Phnom Teuk Chou. Be prepared for some rough patches on the road as well as potential traffic from other vehicles.
