Getting There

• Bicycle

  If you're in the center of Kampot, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near the riverside. Start by heading south on the main road (National Road 3) towards the direction of the Kampot River. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Phu Quoc Island. Follow the signs towards Cửa Cạn and Vung Bau Beach. The beach will be on your left, and you can park your bicycle nearby.

• Motorbike

  From the center of Kampot, you can rent a motorbike from a local rental service. Head south on the main road (National Road 3) towards the Kampot River. Continue straight for approximately 15 kilometers. Look for the signs directing you to Phu Quoc Island and follow them to Cửa Cạn. After about 20 minutes of riding, you will reach Vung Bau Beach, where you can park your motorbike near the beach entrance.

• Tuk-Tuk

  Hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Kampot. Tell the driver you want to go to Vung Bau Beach in Cửa Cạn. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes. The driver will take you along National Road 3, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, the driver can drop you off at the beach entrance.

• Walking

  Walking to Vung Bau Beach from Kampot is quite a long trek, but if you're up for an adventure, you can start by heading south along the riverside. Follow the path along the river until you reach National Road 3. From there, continue walking south along the road for about 15 kilometers. This option is not recommended due to the distance and traffic, but it's possible if you're seeking a long hike.
