Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, take National Road 5 towards Siem Reap. After about 2 hours, you will reach the junction towards Oddar Meanchey Province. Follow the signs towards the provincial capital, Samraong. Once in Samraong, proceed to the center where you will find the statue located prominently. There is ample parking available nearby.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach the statue via public transport, head to the bus station in Oddar Meanchey. Look for a bus heading to Samraong, which departs regularly throughout the day. The bus ride will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Samraong, you can either walk to the statue (a 15-minute walk from the bus station) or hire a local tuk-tuk for a small fee (around $1-$2) to take you directly to the statue.

• Tuk-Tuk

  If you are already in Samraong, hiring a tuk-tuk is a convenient way to reach the statue. You can easily find tuk-tuks near the bus station or in the city center. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should cost around $1-$3 depending on your starting point within Samraong. The ride will take about 5-10 minutes.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk to the statue from the center of Samraong, head north on the main road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the statue, which will be visible from a distance. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, especially if you are visiting during the hot season.
