Thommanon Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992, is a captivating Hindu temple constructed in the 12th century, around the same time as Angkor Wat. Attributed to the reign of Suryavarman II, it is located just outside the eastern Victory Gate of Angkor Thom, near Chau Say Tevoda. Thommanon, though smaller than other Angkor temples, is admired for its intricate carvings of devatas (celestial female figures) and its relatively well-preserved state, thanks to restoration efforts in the 1960s.The temple features a single tower (prasat) facing east, accessed through a gopura (entrance pavilion) and a mandapa (antechamber).
