Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from the center of Takeo, head south on National Road 2 (NR2) for about 18 kilometers. Keep your eyes peeled for a sign for Chi So Mountain; it will be on your right. Once you reach the entrance, there is usually a small parking area available, but be aware of any parking fees that may apply, typically around $1.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  Take a local bus from the Takeo bus station heading towards Phnom Penh. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Chi So Mountain stop, which is approximately 18 kilometers from Takeo city center. The bus fare is usually around $1. Once you arrive at the bus stop, you will need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the entrance of Chi So Mountain. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions.

• Tuk-tuk

  For a more local experience, hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Takeo. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around $10 to $15 for a round trip to Chi So Mountain. The driver will take you directly to the entrance, and you can arrange a return trip with them. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.

• Bike Rental

  For the adventurous, consider renting a bicycle to reach Chi So Mountain. Many guesthouses in Takeo offer bike rentals for about $2 to $5 per day. Head south on NR2 and follow the same route as if you were driving. It's about an 18-kilometer ride, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. Once you arrive, lock your bike at the entrance.
