Walking
From the center of Bamenda, start at the main market (Eko Market). Head north on Commercial Avenue towards the main roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Nkwen Road. Continue along Nkwen Road until you reach the Nkwen Baptist Church, which will be on your right. From here, you will need to take a left turn onto a smaller path leading towards Alatening. Follow the path as it winds through local neighborhoods and eventually leads you to Alatening Ntare Hill, where you can enjoy the scenic views.
Biking
Begin your journey at the Bamenda City Park. Head towards the main road and cycle north on Commercial Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Nkwen Road. Once you pass the Nkwen Baptist Church, take a left onto the smaller path leading to Alatening. This route can be a bit hilly, so be prepared for a workout as you make your way to Alatening Ntare Hill.
Public Transport (Motorbike Taxi)
From your location in Bamenda, find a nearby motorbike taxi (commonly referred to as 'bikes' in the region). Inform the driver that you want to go to Alatening Ntare Hill. Many riders will be familiar with the area. The taxi will take you through the main streets of Bamenda, and you may pass landmarks like the main market and Nkwen Baptist Church. You will be dropped off at the foot of the hill, from where you can easily walk to the top.
