Ekom Nkam Waterfalls: A Majestic Natural Wonder in Nkongsamba

Getting There

• Car

  From Bimbia Beach, head northeast on the main road towards Limbe. After approximately 5 km, take a right turn onto the Nkongsamba road (N5). Continue on this road for about 40 km. You will pass through several small towns; keep an eye out for local signs directing you to Ekom Nkam Waterfalls. Once you reach Nkongsamba, look for signs to the waterfalls or ask locals for directions. The final stretch will have a dirt road leading directly to the waterfalls, which is about 10 km from Nkongsamba. There is parking available near the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  From Bimbia Beach, take a taxi or bus to Limbe. Buses and shared taxis frequently run this route and will cost around 500-1000 CFA. Upon reaching Limbe, transfer to a bus or shared taxi heading to Nkongsamba, which typically costs around 1500-2000 CFA and takes about 1-1.5 hours. Once in Nkongsamba, you can either walk or take a motorcycle taxi to the waterfalls. The motorcycle ride will cost around 1000-1500 CFA and will take you directly to the entrance of Ekom Nkam Waterfalls.

• Motorcycle Taxi

  If you prefer to travel directly from Bimbia Beach to Ekom Nkam Waterfalls without going through Limbe or Nkongsamba, you can hire a motorcycle taxi. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 5000-7000 CFA. The driver will take you through the scenic route directly to the waterfalls, which will take approximately 1 hour depending on road conditions.
