If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the city of Bertoua, which is a major city in the East Region. Drive towards the town of Ebolowa on the A3 highway. This will take you approximately 6-7 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Ebolowa, follow the signs to Douala, which will lead you onto the A4 highway. Continue on the A4 for about 2 hours until you reach Buea. From Buea, follow the signs to Mt Cameroon National Park, which is about 30 minutes away. Make sure your vehicle is in good condition as some roads may be rough, and be prepared for potential tolls along the highways.

For those using public transportation, board a bus from Bertoua to Douala. Several bus companies operate this route, and the journey will take around 8-10 hours. Once you arrive in Douala, you will need to take another bus to Buea, which typically leaves from the main bus station. This leg of the journey will take about 1-2 hours. Upon arriving in Buea, you can take a taxi or a motorcycle taxi (commonly known as 'bendskin') to reach the entrance of Mt Cameroon National Park. Expect to pay around 1,500-3,000 CFA francs for the taxi ride. Always ensure to negotiate the fare before beginning your journey.

Once in Buea, you can hire a taxi or a motorcycle taxi to take you to the base of Mt Cameroon National Park. The distance from Buea to the park entrance is approximately 12 km and will take about 30 minutes by taxi.
