If you're driving from the center of Mankon, head southeast on the main road (A2) towards the roundabout near the Mankon neighborhood. Continue straight at the roundabout and follow the A2 for approximately 3 km. You should see signs pointing to the direction of Bamenda Alahchu. Once you approach the Alahchu area, keep an eye out for the coordinates 2469+QX3 on your GPS or a map app. The location is situated on the left side of the road. There is typically roadside parking available.
Public Transportation (Taxi)
To reach Mantohbang via public transportation, you can take a shared taxi from the main taxi park in Mankon. Look for a taxi heading towards Alahchu. The fare is usually around 200-300 CFA francs per person. Inform the driver that you are going to Mantohbang, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From the drop-off point, it should be a short walk (about 5-10 minutes) to the location. Always confirm with the driver if they know the destination before getting in.
Motorbike Taxi (Bendskin)
Another efficient way to reach Mantohbang is by using a motorbike taxi, locally known as 'bendskin.' To find a bendskin, you can wait at a major junction or ask locals. The fare to Alahchu should be around 300-500 CFA francs depending on your starting point. This method is faster, especially during busy times when car taxis are less frequent. Again, inform the rider you are going to Mantohbang to ensure they know the correct drop-off location. After arriving, it will be a short walk to your destination.
