Getting there

Walking

From the city center of Ngaoundéré, Monts Ngaoundéré is accessible by foot, though it is a significant walk. Start from a central point like the Lamido Grand Mosque and head in the direction indicated by local signage or landmarks such as Lac Tison. The walk will take you through residential areas and gradually uphill. Be prepared for a moderately challenging hike as you approach the base of the mountain. There are no entrance fees to access the mountain, but hiring a local guide is recommended and may cost around 1000-3000 XAF.

A taxi ride from the city center (e.g., near the Ngaoundéré Central Market) to the mountain should cost approximately 500-1000 XAF, depending on your negotiation skills and the distance.
