Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Buea, which is the capital of the South-West Region. Head southwest on the Muea Road (also known as the Buea-Limbe Road). Follow the road until you reach the junction with the Mile 16 Road. Take a left at the junction, continuing on Mile 16 Road. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the Cameroon Mountain. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the base of Cameroon Mountain. Parking is available at designated areas near the trailhead.

To reach Cameroon Mountain using public transportation, start at the Buea main bus station. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards Limbe. Inform the driver or conductor that you wish to get off at the Mile 16 junction. The fare is generally around 500 CFA francs. Once you reach the junction, you can either walk or hire a motorcycle taxi (commonly referred to as 'bikes') to take you to the base of Cameroon Mountain for an additional cost of about 200-300 CFA francs.
