Getting There

Walking
From the center of Tiko, head east on Avenue de l'Unité towards Rue du 1er Mai. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rue de la République. Walk along this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with the road to Bonakanda. Turn left onto this road and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers, passing by local shops and residential areas. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Mount Cameroon. After about 3 kilometers, you will arrive at the foot of Mount Cameroon. From here, you can start your hike up to Hut 3.

Bicycle
Starting at the Tiko market, take Rue de la République towards Bonakanda. Stay on this road for about 3 kilometers, where you will encounter a less busy route leading to the foot of Mount Cameroon. Along the way, enjoy the local scenery and keep an eye out for hikers making their way up the mountain. Once you reach the base, lock your bike securely before starting your hike to Hut 3.

Public Transport (Motorbike Taxi)
From any point in Tiko, find a motorbike taxi (also known as 'benskin') and inform the driver that you want to go to Bonakanda, specifically to the foot of Mount Cameroon. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Bonakanda, ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to the Mount Cameroon hiking trail. From there, you can begin your hike to Hut 3.
