Getting There

Car
If you are driving from any location in Acadian Peninsula, take Route 1 to head south towards Shediac. Continue on Route 1 until you reach Moncton. From Moncton, follow the signs for Trans-Canada Highway 2 (TCH 2). After approximately 100 km, take exit 207 to merge onto Route 1 toward Saint John. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the border with the United States at Calais. Once you cross into the United States, continue onto Route 1A, which will take you through Ellsworth and into Acadia National Park. The park entrance is well-signposted. Note that you may need to pay an entry fee, which can vary depending on the time of year and your vehicle type.

Public Transportation
To reach Acadia National Park via public transportation, start by taking a bus from any nearby town in Acadian Peninsula to Moncton. From Moncton, you can catch a Greyhound bus heading to Bangor, Maine. In Bangor, transfer to a local bus service or a shuttle that operates to Ellsworth. Once in Ellsworth, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to get to the Acadia National Park entrance. Be sure to check the schedules ahead of time as public transportation may have limited services, especially on weekends.
