Car
If you are driving, start on the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1). Head towards Eastport and take exit 29 toward Port Rexton. Continue on Route 230, following signs for Port Rexton. After about 30 km, you'll arrive in Port Rexton. Follow the signs for Skerwink Trail, which is located in Trinity East. The trailhead is easily accessible and has a parking area.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus from St. John's to Clarenville. From Clarenville, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as there is no direct bus to Port Rexton. The distance from Clarenville to Port Rexton is approximately 50 km, so expect taxi fares to be around CAD 80-100.
Walking
Once you arrive at the Skerwink Trail parking area, you will start your hike from the trailhead. The trail is well-marked and offers stunning views of the coastline and cliffs. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as the hike can take around 2-3 hours to complete, depending on your pace.
