Getting There

• Car

  If you are starting from the town of Haliburton, head northwest on County Road 21 (Highway 118). Continue on Highway 118 for approximately 15 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Algonquin Highlands as you approach the junction with County Road 14. Turn left onto County Road 14 and continue for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Boshkung Lake on your right. Follow the road until you reach the lake. Note: Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as there are limited gas stations along this route.

• Public Transportation

  If you are relying on public transportation, check for local bus services that operate within Haliburton Highlands. You may take a bus from Haliburton to the nearest stop on Highway 118. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you directly to Boshkung Lake, as public transit options may not cover the final stretch. Plan for the possibility of additional costs for the taxi, which could range from $20 to $40 depending on the distance.

  For adventurous travelers, biking to Boshkung Lake is an option. Start in Haliburton and take County Road 21 (Highway 118) for about 15 kilometers.
