Getting There

  If you are driving, start from the town of Haliburton. Head southeast on County Road 21 (Haliburton Lake Road) for about 15 kilometers. At the junction, turn left onto County Road 1 and continue for another 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Highland East. You will then turn right onto a smaller road leading to Stormy Lake. The lake is located at approximately 44.9762501 latitude and -78.40894899999999 longitude. There is no parking fee at the lake, but be mindful of any local parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Stormy Lake using public transportation, take the local bus service from Haliburton to the nearest stop on County Road 1. The bus runs a limited schedule, so be sure to check the times in advance. Once you get off at the designated stop, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers to reach Stormy Lake. Starting from Haliburton, you can take the same route as driving, using County Road 21 and County Road 1.
