Walking
If you are in the downtown area of Iqaluit, start by heading south on Federal Road towards the Apex area. Continue until you reach the intersection with Nipisa Street. Turn left onto Nipisa Street and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see the entrance to Apex Trail on your right, marked with a sign. The trailhead is located at 285 Nipisa St. Make sure to dress warmly and wear appropriate footwear, as the terrain can be rugged.
Walking from Iqaluit International Airport
From Iqaluit International Airport, exit the airport and walk towards the main road (Qikiqtani General Hospital Road). Follow this road until you reach the junction with Federal Road. Turn left onto Federal Road and continue walking until you reach Nipisa Street. Turn left onto Nipisa Street and walk approximately 1.5 kilometers until you find the Apex Trail entrance on your right at 285 Nipisa St.
Walking from the Iqaluit Community Centre
Start at the Iqaluit Community Centre, located on the corner of King George VI Road and Qikiqtani Road. Head west on Qikiqtani Road until you reach the intersection with Federal Road. Turn right on Federal Road and walk south towards Apex. When you reach Nipisa Street, take a left and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. The Apex Trail entrance will be on your right at 285 Nipisa St.
