If you're already near Old Montreal, you can easily walk to Saint Paul St W. Start at Place Jacques-Cartier, and head west along the waterfront. Follow the signs for Rue Saint-Paul and continue walking until you reach Saint-Paul St W. This area has plenty of shops and cafes to explore along the way.
Bicycle
Montreal is a bike-friendly city with many BIXI bike-sharing stations. If you're near a BIXI station, rent a bike and head towards Old Montreal. You can bike along the Lachine Canal towards the Old Port, then continue on Rue Saint-Paul. The ride is approximately 10-15 minutes depending on your starting point.
