If you are starting from downtown Montreal, head to the nearest Metro station, Bonaventure or Peel. Take the Green Line (Line 1) towards Angrignon. Get off at the Lionel-Groulx station and transfer to the Orange Line (Line 2) towards Côte-Vertu. Travel to Mont-Royal station and exit the station. From Mont-Royal station, walk east on Avenue Mont-Royal until you reach Avenue du Mont-Royal. Turn left onto Avenue du Mont-Royal and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue Camilien-Houde. Follow Rue Camilien-Houde uphill until you reach Camilien-Houde belvedere. The walk is about 30 minutes but offers beautiful views along the way.

If you are in the Plateau-Mont-Royal area, you can walk directly to Camilien-Houde belvedere. Start from the intersection of Mont-Royal Avenue and Saint-Denis Street. Head north on Saint-Denis Street until you reach Avenue Mont-Royal. Turn right on Avenue Mont-Royal and continue until you reach Avenue du Mont-Royal. Turn left onto Avenue du Mont-Royal and continue straight, following the road as it curves. When you reach Rue Camilien-Houde, turn left and walk uphill to the belvedere. This route is approximately 2 km and will take about 25-30 minutes on foot.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a BIXI bike from any BIXI station in the city. Start at a station near you and cycle towards Mont-Royal Park. Follow the designated bike paths to Avenue du Mont-Royal. Once on Avenue du Mont-Royal, you can ride up to Rue Camilien-Houde. The ride is approximately 3 km from the downtown area and should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your pace. Be cautious of the uphill sections as they can be steep.
