Walking
If you are starting from the Montreal Central Station, exit the station onto Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest. Head west on Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest towards Rue Peel. Continue straight until you reach Rue Peel, then turn left. Walk north on Rue Peel until you reach Rue Saint-Antoine. Turn right onto Rue Saint-Antoine and continue until you reach Place d’Armes. The square is located at the intersection of Côte de la Place d’Armes and Rue Saint-Jacques.
Metro
From any metro station, take the Green Line towards Angrignon and get off at Place-d'Armes station. Once you exit the station, head southeast on Rue Saint-Antoine towards Côte de la Place d’Armes. The square will be just a short walk away, on your right at the intersection with Rue Saint-Jacques.
Bus
If you are near a bus stop, take any bus that heads towards downtown Montreal and get off at the stop nearest to Rue Saint-Antoine and Rue de la Montagne. From there, walk east on Rue Saint-Antoine until you reach Côte de la Place d’Armes. Turn left onto Côte de la Place d’Armes, and you will find Place d’Armes at the intersection with Rue Saint-Jacques.
Biking
If you are renting a bike, head towards the Bixi bike-sharing stations located throughout the city. Once you have your bike, set your destination to Côte de la Place d’Armes and Rue Saint-Jacques. Follow the bike paths towards the Old Montreal area, and upon reaching the vicinity, look for signs directing you to Place d’Armes. The square is a short ride from the waterfront area.
