Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Niagara Falls State Park Visitor Center, exit the center and head towards the main park area. Walk straight towards the observation area where you can see the Horseshoe Falls. Continue walking past the observation decks and follow the signs towards Terrapin Point. You will need to walk along the paved pathways that lead you along the edge of the river. Once you reach the point where the path forks, take the left fork towards Terrapin Point. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the Visitor Center.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From the Niagara Falls City Centre, take the WEGO bus (Red Line) towards the Falls. Get off at the 'Fallsview Boulevard' stop. From there, walk down Fallsview Boulevard until you reach the entrance to Niagara Falls State Park. Enter the park and follow the pathways towards the Horseshoe Falls. Continue until you see signs for Terrapin Point. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes, and the walk from the bus stop to Terrapin Point will take around 10-15 minutes.

  • Bike Rental

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in the area. Start at the Niagara Parks Bike Rentals located near the Niagara Falls Visitor Center. Head towards the bike path that runs parallel to the river. Follow the bike path signs towards the park, and stay on the path until you reach the entrance of Niagara Falls State Park. Once inside the park, continue on the bike path towards the Horseshoe Falls, then follow the signs to Terrapin Point. The entire journey will take about 30 minutes, depending on your biking speed.
