If you are in the vicinity of Niagara Falls State Park, head towards the Observation Tower. From there, take the path leading towards the Terrapin Point. Continue walking along the paved paths, and follow the signs directing you to the American Falls. As you approach the edge of the falls, you will find Terrapin Point directly in front of you, at the tip of the peninsula.

Take the Niagara Falls bus (Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority - NFTA) Route 55, which runs frequently between various points in the city. Board the bus at any major stop and ride to the stop at the Niagara Falls State Park. Once you get off, follow the pedestrian pathways towards the Observation Tower. After reaching the tower, proceed to Terrapin Point by following the scenic routes along the park.
