The White Water Walk provides a unique vantage point to witness the immense power of the Niagara River's rapids. Located along the Niagara Gorge, this attraction allows visitors to descend 70 meters by elevator to a riverside boardwalk. From there, a 73-meter tunnel leads to a 305-meter boardwalk that runs alongside the Class 6 white-water rapids. As you stroll along the sturdy boardwalk, you'll be captivated by the surging waters and the sheer force of nature. Viewing platforms extend out, offering closer perspectives of the deep and narrow Great Gorge. The rapids here are some of the wildest in North America, rushing at an average speed of 48 kilometers per hour. Informative signs along the way detail the local geology, plant, and animal life. The White Water Walk's history is intertwined with the Niagara Gorge, formed over 12,000 years as the Falls eroded. The walk is wheelchair accessible, with the exception of two small viewing areas reached by stairs. The site also offers parking, restrooms, and a gift shop.
