Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're near the ByWard Market, head southwest on George Street toward William Street. Continue onto Rideau Street and walk until you reach Elgin Street. Turn left onto Elgin Street and walk straight for about 10 minutes. The National Arts Centre will be on your right at 1 Elgin St.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    From the Ottawa City Hall, head to the nearest bus stop at Elgin and Laurier. Take bus #1 (towards Baseline) or bus #7 (towards St. Laurent) and alight at the National Arts Centre stop. The centre is just a short walk from there, located at 1 Elgin St.

  • Public Transit - Light Rail

    If you are near the Rideau Centre, take the O-Train (Light Rail) from Rideau Station. Travel towards Tunney's Pasture and get off at Parliament Station. Exit the station, walk towards the east, and you will find the National Arts Centre at 1 Elgin Street, approximately a 5-minute walk.
