Getting There

  • By Car

    From any location in Peace River Country, head towards Highway 2 South. Follow this highway until you reach the junction with Highway 43. Take Highway 43 towards Grande Prairie. Continue on Highway 43 until you reach the junction with Highway 2 again, and then take the exit for Highway 2 South towards Edmonton. Keep driving for approximately 5 hours until you reach the city of Winnipeg. Once in Winnipeg, continue on the Perimeter Highway (Highway 100) and take the exit towards Pembina Highway (Highway 75) heading north. Follow Pembina Highway until you reach the Assiniboine Park. The Nature Playground is located at 55 Pavilion Crescent within the park. There is no parking fee at the playground.

    If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Peace River to Edmonton. From Edmonton, you can take a Greyhound bus service to Winnipeg. Once in Winnipeg, you can use the local transit system. Take the Winnipeg Transit bus number 60 or 62 from downtown Winnipeg towards the Assiniboine Park. The bus will drop you off near the park entrance. The fare for the local bus is approximately $3.00 CAD.
