Erected in 1997, the bronze sculpture by Jules Lasalle is located in Place des Tourangelles. It specifically honors those who followed the example of Marie of the Incarnation, the first Catholic nun in Quebec, who founded the Ursuline Order in Canada and North America's first school for girls in 1639.
