Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Old Quebec area, head southeast on Rue Saint-Jean toward Rue d'Auteuil. Continue straight onto Rue de la Couronne and then turn left onto Côte de la Montagne. Follow this road until you reach the entrance of The Citadelle of Québec at 1 Côte de la Citadelle, which will be on your right. The walk takes about 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From the Old Port area, take the RTC bus number 11 from the stop at Place d'Youville. The bus will take you directly to the stop named 'Cité Fortifiée', which is just a short walk from The Citadelle. Once you get off, walk north along Côte de la Citadelle, and you will see the entrance in a few minutes. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes.

  • Walking from the Plains of Abraham

    If you are at the Plains of Abraham, head southeast toward Rue de la Reine. Continue on Rue de la Reine until you reach the intersection with Côte de la Citadelle. Turn right onto Côte de la Citadelle, and you will arrive at The Citadelle in about 10 minutes.
