Car
If you are traveling by car, start in the capital of Lac, Mongo. From Mongo, take Route N1 heading north. Continue on this road for approximately 100 kilometers until you reach the town of Bol. In Bol, you will need to refuel and gather any supplies you may need for your trip. After leaving Bol, continue on Route N1 for another 50 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route N3. Take Route N3 heading northeast towards Lake Yoa. This road may be unpaved; ensure your vehicle is suitable for off-road travel. After about 50 kilometers, you will arrive at Lake Yoa. The entire journey should take around 3-4 hours depending on road conditions.

To reach Lake Yoa via public transportation, start in Mongo and head to the local bus station. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards Bol. The fare is typically around 1,000 CFA francs. Once you arrive in Bol, you will need to find another shared taxi or bus heading towards Lake Yoa. Be prepared for possible waiting times as transportation may not run frequently.
