Walking
If you are starting from the main plaza in Coquimbo (Plaza de Armas), head northeast on Avenida Costanera. Continue walking along the waterfront for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Avenida Los Pinguinos. Turn left onto Avenida Los Pinguinos and walk straight for another 1 km. You will see signs directing you to Fuerte de Coquimbo. Finally, follow the signs to Cam. Al Fuerte, where the fort is located.

From the main plaza in Coquimbo, take a local bus that heads toward La Serena and ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Fuerte de Coquimbo. Most buses will stop near Avenida Costanera.
