Walking
If you are starting from the main plaza in Coquimbo (Plaza de Armas), head northeast on Avenida Costanera. Continue walking along the waterfront for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Avenida Los Pinguinos. Turn left onto Avenida Los Pinguinos and walk straight for another 1 km. You will see signs directing you to Fuerte de Coquimbo. Finally, follow the signs to Cam. Al Fuerte, where the fort is located.

From the main plaza in Coquimbo, take a local bus that heads toward La Serena and ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Fuerte de Coquimbo. Most buses will stop near Avenida Costanera. After getting off the bus, walk towards the waterfront and follow the directions provided for walking, continuing along Avenida Costanera and then turning onto Avenida Los Pinguinos.
