Getting There

Car
From the center of Futaleufú, head south on Av. 21 de Mayo. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the fork. Take the right fork onto Ruta 7 (also known as Carretera Austral). After about 12 kilometers, you will see a sign for Laguna de la Paz on your left. Turn left onto the dirt road and drive for another 5 kilometers, following the signs that lead you to the parking area near the lagoon.

Public Transportation
While there is no direct public transportation to Laguna de la Paz, you can take a local bus from Futaleufú to the nearest point along Ruta 7. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station. Inform the driver that you want to get off near the Laguna de la Paz turn-off, which is approximately 12 kilometers from Futaleufú. After getting off, you will need to walk about 5 kilometers along the dirt road towards the lagoon. Be sure to ask locals for the best route if you’re unsure.
