Car
If you're driving from central Futaleufu, head south on Calle Arturo Prat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 225. Turn left onto Route 225 and follow it for approximately 6 km. You will see signs for the Rio Futaleufu rapids. Keep an eye out for the parking areas, which are well-marked as you approach the rapids.
Public Transportation
To reach the Rio Futaleufu rapids using public transport, start at the central bus station in Futaleufu. Look for a bus heading towards the Futaleufu River area; these typically depart throughout the day. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Rio Futaleufu rapids. Once you arrive, there will be a short walk to the viewing areas.
Walking
If you are already near the river or have walked from a nearby accommodation, follow the path from the riverbank directly to the rapids. The trails are well-trodden, but be cautious of loose rocks. It should take about 15-20 minutes of walking to reach the best viewpoints of the rapids.
