There is no entry fee, but ensure that you have enough fuel and supplies for your journey.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Valdivia to Río Bueno. Buses leave frequently from the Valdivia Bus Terminal and the fare is approximately 3,000 CLP. Once you arrive at the Río Bueno bus terminal, you can take a taxi or a local shared taxi (called 'colectivo') to Fuerte San José de Alcudia. The taxi ride should cost around 5,000 CLP and takes about 15 minutes. Make sure to confirm the taxi fare before starting your trip.
