Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading to the nearest major road in Norte Chico, which is Route 5 (Pan-American Highway). From there, drive south towards Valparaíso. Once you reach Valparaíso, follow signs to the coastal areas. You will want to take the exit for Avenida España, which leads towards the beach areas. Continue on Avenida España until you see signs for Playa Docas. The beach is located at approximately latitude -33.1390149 and longitude -71.7057265. Parking is often available nearby but may incur a fee, especially during peak tourist seasons.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from your location in Norte Chico to Valparaíso. The bus companies such as TurBus or Pullman have frequent services from various towns in Norte Chico to Valparaíso. Once you arrive at the Valparaíso bus terminal, you can catch a local bus or a taxi to Avenida España, which will take you closer to Docas beach. Expect to pay a bus fare of around CLP 5,000 to 10,000 from Norte Chico to Valparaíso, and an additional CLP 1,000 to 2,000 for the local bus to the beach.

  If you prefer a more direct route and are willing to spend a little more, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber from Valparaíso bus terminal to Docas beach.
