Getting There

Walking
From the center of Pucón, start at Plaza de Armas (Main Square). Head east on Calle O'Higgins until you reach the intersection with Avenida Bernardo O'Higgins. Turn left onto Avenida Bernardo O'Higgins and continue walking for about 1 km until you reach the bus terminal. At the bus terminal, look for buses heading to Refugio Villarrica or the Villarrica National Park. Board the bus, and inform the driver that you want to get off at Refugio Villarrica. The bus ride is approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Refugio Villarrica, follow the signs for the hiking trail leading to Mirador Los Cráteres. The trail is well-marked and takes about 1 hour to hike up to the viewpoint.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Pucón. Start at the Plaza de Armas and head east on Calle O'Higgins. When you reach Avenida Bernardo O'Higgins, turn left and bike for about 1 km to the bus terminal area. From there, continue along Avenida Bernardo O'Higgins, which will eventually lead you to the entrance of Villarrica National Park. Follow the signs leading to Refugio Villarrica. Once you arrive at the Refugio, chain your bike and start the hiking trail towards Mirador Los Cráteres. It takes about 1 hour to hike up to the viewpoint from the Refugio.
