From Puerto Varas, head to the main bus terminal located on Del Salvador 1000, just a 5-10 minute walk from the city center. Look for buses heading to Puerto Montt; they run frequently throughout the day (approximately every 15-30 minutes). The journey takes around 30 minutes. Get off the bus at the main terminal in Puerto Montt, which is called 'Terminal de Buses de Puerto Montt'. From there, follow the signs to the exit.

After exiting the bus terminal in Puerto Montt, you will find yourself on Diego Portales Street. Turn left and walk towards the main avenue, Avenida Presidente Ibáñez. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer. Once you reach the intersection with Benavente Street, turn right. The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral will be on your left at Benavente 385. It is a prominent building with a distinctive architecture, making it hard to miss.
