Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Plaza Muñoz Gamero in the center of Punta Arenas, head south on Avenida Colón towards the coast. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Avenida España. Turn left onto Avenida España and walk for another 500 meters. You will see the sign for 'Turismo Hito Austral' on your right. The address is Punta Arenas, 6200000 Magallanes.

• Public Bus

  From Plaza Muñoz Gamero, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida Colón. Look for buses heading towards the southern part of the city. Board any bus that has a route passing by Avenida España. Ask the bus driver to let you know when to get off near Hito Austral. Once you get off, it will be a short walk (approximately 5 minutes) back to the location.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in Punta Arenas. Simply inform the driver that you would like to go to 'Turismo Hito Austral' on Avenida España. The journey should take around 10 minutes depending on traffic.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the rental shops near Plaza Muñoz Gamero. Once you have your bike, cycle south on Avenida Colón for about 1 kilometer, then turn left onto Avenida España. Continue for another 500 meters until you see 'Turismo Hito Austral' on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.
