Plaza de Armas, officially known as Plaza Muñoz Gamero, serves as the historical and cultural heart of Punta Arenas. Declared a "Typical Zone" in 1991 by the Council of National Monuments, the plaza's design, proportions, and lush vegetation create an inviting atmosphere.The square is framed by significant buildings reflecting the city's European-influenced architecture, including the City Hall and the Union Club.
