Getting There

• Public Transport - Metro and Bus

  If you are starting from the Valparaíso city center, head to the nearest Metro station, which is 'Alameda'. Take the Metro Line 1 (the red line) towards 'Pajaritos' until you reach 'Puerto' station. Once at 'Puerto', exit the station and look for the bus stop for buses heading to 'Playa Las Torpederas'. You will find buses labeled 'Torpederas' or 'Playa' that frequently run this route. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to tell the driver you’re going to Playa Las Torpederas, and keep an eye out for the bus stop near Altamirano 22100, where the beach is located.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from the city center, start at Plaza Sotomayor. Head towards Avenida Pedro Montt and walk along it until you reach the intersection with Calle Almirante Montt. Turn right onto Calle Almirante Montt and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass through some local shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Altamirano. Turn left onto Altamirano, and continue walking for about 500 meters until you arrive at Playa Las Torpederas, located at Altamirano 22100.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more comfortable option, you can use a taxi or rideshare service like Uber. Simply open the app and set your destination to 'Playa Las Torpederas, Altamirano 22100, Valparaíso'. The drivers are familiar with the area, and the ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Just ensure that you are picked up in a safe area, preferably near popular landmarks like Plaza Sotomayor or your accommodation.
