Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Viña del Mar, head to the main bus terminal, Terminal de Buses Viña del Mar, which is located at Av. Valparaíso 600. Look for buses heading towards Valparaíso. You can take any bus that has 'Valparaíso' on its destination sign. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Valparaíso bus terminal, you will need to transfer to a local bus or a colectivo (shared taxi) heading to Laguna Verde. Look for buses marked 'Laguna Verde' or ask locals for directions. The local bus will take around 20-30 minutes to reach Laguna Verde. Be sure to pay attention to the stops, as Laguna Verde is a popular destination.

• Colectivo

  From the center of Viña del Mar, walk to the main street, Avenida Libertad, where you will find colectivos (shared taxis). Look for a colectivo that has 'Valparaíso' on the sign, and confirm with the driver that they will drop you off near Laguna Verde. The journey will take approximately 25-35 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Valparaíso, let the driver know you want to go to Laguna Verde, and they will drop you off at the closest point. Expect to pay a small fee for the ride.

• Walking and Bus

  Start at Plaza de Viña del Mar, located in the city center. Walk towards the Avenida San Martín and head towards the bus terminal at Av. Valparaíso 600. From the bus terminal, take a bus to Valparaíso, which will take about 30 minutes. Once in Valparaíso, transfer to a bus or colectivo (shared taxi) that goes to Laguna Verde. This last leg will take around 20-30 minutes. Keep an eye on the route signs, and don’t hesitate to ask locals for assistance if you’re unsure.
